John Beck (COO)

John is responsible for overseeing ShareSafe’s information security planning and processes, as well as managing our data centers and client’s networks.

John's technology career began in the United States Navy as a Data Systems Technician. From the Navy, John transitioned to the communications industry where he served first as RVP of Operations for Espire Communications and then as President and CEO of Actel Integrated Communications. Under his direction, Actel moved from start-up to revenue-producing, gaining 13 southeastern markets in 18 months and acquiring $135M in capitalization and structured debt.

On the technology side, his experience grew to include architecting of complex networks, development and maintainance of node-based data centers with embedded security and intrusion protection, multi-OS capabilities and elastic design, and cloud-based server clusters. John combined his management and technical skills by creating a consulting business where he has assisted corporations with IT infrastructure build-outs, planning, network security, development of e-Commerce gateways and PCI compliance. Most recently, John guided the Gulf Coast Healthcare complexes in Internet security and protection from malicious software threats and ransom-ware.

Educationally, John was able to leverage his early career with the Navy's NTDS Advanced Electronics studies and the USN/University of Florida Afloat Studies Program, where he majored in Computer Science.
